What is Aalto Design Factory about? What do people do here? Our most important asset is the people in DF, the community. In the #InsideDF blogpost series we familiarize you with the people who frequently come to DF.
In the third blogpost we have Herkko Hietanen, a startup entrepreneur at Turre Legal based at Design Factory.
I like to work at Design Factory as it is located in the heart of innovation.
I’m Herkko from Turre Legal. We develop law web services that automate law work. Previously I have worked in Silicon Valley and I have done research and product development work in some the USA’s top universities including Harvard and MIT and also in Finland in Aalto University, University of Helsinki, Lappeenranta University of Technology and University of Jyväskylä.
By having an office both in Harvard and MIT, I felt that I was at the high point of my career. After coming back to Finland, I moved to a web company and noticed the problems there. I started to find solutions for the problems, like how to survive from the bureaucracy and automate coding. That was the start of Turre Legal.
The utopia that people have about incubators, comes into reality here.
In the future I hope that services that automate routine tasks will become more common. I hope our services are amongst those. I like to work at Design Factory as it is located in the heart of innovation. The spaces are well planned and the co-operation with other startups works well. The utopia that people have about incubators, comes into reality here.
