Supporting design work in startups amidst internationalization

d.startis a one-year research project, funded by the Antti and Jenny Wihuri Foundation, investigating the needs and practices of experimentation and design work in Finnish startups and SMEs amidst their internationalisation efforts in Finland and in Silicon Valley. We’re tracking a number of foodstuff companies, ranging from beverages to new ingredients, as they experiment their way forward with new emerging markets and consumption. With the first round of interviews being conducted as we speak, we aim to contribute clarity to these companies’ development efforts, to academic understanding, as well as to how we prepare our students for being game changers in the 21st century.
