Step 1

Open System Preferences from the Apple menu that is in the top left corner of your Aalto Mac.

Open the Printers & Scanners menu.

NB! It is recommended that you are in Aalto wired or wireless network not Aalto Open when doing these settings.

Step 2

Press the little + button under the printer list box.

Step 3

Write T21000 in the search field. This will show you all the direct printing printers in DF (T21000-ps6 does not work with direct printing as it is not connected to the network).

Select the printer you want to add.

You can see a list, specs, location and names of the DF printers here

Step 4

Select the driver with the Use menu.

For the following printers:

• T21000-ps1 (White PC Room – Basement Floor)
• T21000-ps2 (Company Plaza 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps3 (Research Plaza 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps4 (Staff Wing 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps5 (The Barn – Entrance Floor)

Select Generic PostScript Printer

For the following printers:

• T21000-psc4 (CopyRoom – Entrance Floor)

Go to next step.

Step 5 (only for t21000-psc4)

Select Other… from the drop down.

Navigate to the following path:

AaltoHD/Library/Printers/Aalto

Select CNADVC5250X1.PPD.gz

Press Open

Step 6

After selecting the driver press the Add button to add the printer.

Step 7

If you have added any of the following printers:

• T21000-ps1 (White PC Room – Basement Floor)
• T21000-ps2 (Company Plaza 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps3 (Research Plaza 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps4 (Staff Wing 2nd Floor)
• T21000-ps5 (The Barn – Entrance Floor)

You still need to enable duplex printing (printing on both sides of the paper). To do that:

Select the printer

Click Options & Supplies…

Select the Options tab

Tick the Duplex Printing Unit

Click OK

Done

Tap yourself on the back. Bravo, have a party.

To add several printers repeat the process.
