Research is one of the three cornerstones of Design Factory’s activities. In addition to its own research team Design Factory hosts several other groups, projects and companies engaging in research.

Co-operation with companies is innate to Design Factory. As a new kind of environment that brings together students, researchers and businesses, Design Factory is made for finding, incubating and realizing new ideas.
Throughout the year, Design Factory’s hallways and working spaces are filled with passionate students having fun while working hard in their numerous academic fields.

The working environment and spatial arrange- ments of Design Factory encourage fruitful informal collaboration and knowledge exchange across the boundaries of research groups of varying interests.
